TDMA open-loop acquisition and synchronization
Abstract
Open-loop methods of time-division multiple-access acquisition and synchronization offer complexity and cost tradeoffs with conventional loopback timing control of satellite burst transmissions, especially for communications satellite systems having multiple spot beams. This paper describes and analyzes an alternate technique for open-loop timing control and the associated microprocessor-based controllers
