Interaction between a wake and a boundary layer with a sophisticated turbulence model
Abstract
A review of methods for calculating the interaction between a wake and turbulent boundary layer is presented. Five such models have been used to compare their results to the Modane wing. A sixth method based on use of the spectrum space through the use of Fourier transforms is shown to go beyond the Boussinesq and to be applicable whenever the spectral equilibrium is not severely perturbed.
