On thermal boundary layer of an viscoelastic fluid
Abstract
The effect of the elastic property of a viscoelastic liquid on thermal boundary layers is studied, with emphasis on the role of elasticity in modifying results obtained for Newtonian fluids. Physically realistic analyses for the velocity field in the boundary layers at all levels of an infinite porous plate are reviewed; the relationship between the elastic parameter and the temperature of the plate wall is assessed. It is found that wall temperature increases with an increase in the elastic parameter.
