On unsteady rotating boundary layer flows between two porous plates
Abstract
A problem investigated by Debnath and Mukherjee (1973) is considered. The problem is related to the unsteady flow generated in a semiinfinite region with an incompressible viscous fluid bounded by an infinite disk, when both the fluid and the disk are in rigid body rotation with uniform angular velocity and, in addition, the disk performs nontorsional oscillations. A study of the considered problem in a twoplate configuration is reported, taking into account an investigation of the unsteady hydrodynamic and hydromagnetic boundary layer flows between the two parallel infinite horizontal porous plates.
