The design of passively stabilized microwave diode oscillators
Abstract
Oscillators with well-defined tuning characteristics are considered, taking into account an equivalent circuit diagram developed by Buechs and Schuenemann (1976). Questions of load coupling are discussed and an investigation is conducted concerning the determination of the dimensions of the loss resistance. Attention is given to the measurement of the energy factor of stabilized oscillators, the reduction of the losses in the attenuation device, approaches for the enhancement of long-term stability, and examples which illustrate the application of the described design method.
