Convergence of some approximate methods for solving the equations of motion of the four-component gyroscopic vertical
Abstract
Convergence of the method of successive approximations and the Galerkin method in a suitably chosen Sobolev space is studied for the system of equations for the four-component gyroscopic vertical. The solution procedure for the Galerkin method is outlined, and a condition for applicability of a combined finite difference-Galerkin procedure is given.
