Frequency shifts in stabilized gas lasers
Abstract
The effects of the hyperfine structure of the levels of the absorbing transition, gas pressure in the absorption cell, laser frequency pulling and repulsion, and the phases of the backward reflected waves on the reproducibility of the frequency of stabilized gas ring lasers are analyzed. Calculations are performed for a He-Ne-CH4 laser (3.39 microns wavelength).
