Study of heat transfer through refractory lined gasifier vessel walls
Abstract
Heat transfer through refractory lined coal gasification vessel walls was evaluated. An empirically derived computer model suitable for determining the heat flow through complex, multicomponent refractory linings, such that the effect of lining thickness, density, composition, anchors, gases was developed. The program involves both the development of a heat flow computer model and the experimental measurement of heat flow in a test apparatus.
