General analysis and illustrative examples of free drainage of Newtonian and non-Newtonian films with time-dependent rheological parameters
Abstract
Analyses relatively general with respect to rheological model characteristics are presented for thickness, holdup, and drainage rate as functions of time and position for Newtonian and nonNewtonian films with time variable rheological properties during free drainage from flat plates with negligible inertial and interfacial tension forces. The general theory was illustrated by several specific examples involving chemical reaction and heat transfer.
