Coupled gasdynamics and kinetics during condensation in a rarefaction wave
Abstract
A quantitative theoretical analysis is presented of a coupled gasdynamics/heat release system involving the kinetics of water condensation in and behind the rarefaction wave in a shock tube using the method of characteristics. The merger of characteristics to form a shock wave is included.
