National Aeronautics and Space Administration should provide the congress with more information on the Pioneer Venus project

NASA will launch two Pioneer spacecraft in 1978 to get information on Earth's closest neighbor, Venus. These missions will be the latest in a series of U.S. Venus flights which began in 1961. Costs have grown and technical problems have cropped up in the project. NASA's quality assurance policy has not been applied in this program. Efforts at international cooperation in exploring Venus should be continued. Improvements can be made in the financial and management information being provided to the Congress.
