Experimental study of turbulent wall layers
Abstract
The work considers turbulent wall flows under a variety of complex gasdynamic and thermophysical conditions: transverse flow, gas barriers, nonisothermicity, compressibility, a longitudinal pressure gradient, chemical reactions, boundary layer separation, polymer additives, and two-phase flow (gas-liquid) conditions. Experimental techniques used to measure these flows include stroboscopic, electrochemical, and thermoanemometric techniques.
