Truncated sequential analysis of signals under conditions of a priori ambiguity
Abstract
Consideration is given to the sequential detection of signals on a background of normal noise with an unknown dispersion; a sampling of independent observations from the normal combination is assumed. The objective of the study is to reduce the mean number of observations by truncating the lower threshold as a function of sampling dispersion. The truncation is carried out on the basis of a sequential t-statistical criterion.
