Time correlation of the displacements of the center of gravity of a light beam in the atmospheric boundary layer
Abstract
Theoretical and experimental results are presented on the time correlation functions of displacements of the center of gravity of parallel and focused light beams in the turbulent atmospheric boundary layer. Changes in the time correlation functions are studied in dependence on the intensity of velocity fluctuations of optical-inhomogeneity transport across the optical paths. It is found that the velocity fluctuations of wind on the path might have a significant effect on the form of the time correlation functions.
