Experimental study of the energetic characteristics of synchronized oscillators
Abstract
The energetic characteristics of a synchronized oscillator were measured at a frequency of about 3 cm. A standard signal generator with an output power of about 90 mW is used as the synchronizing oscillator, while a Gunn oscillator with an N-shaped nonlinear characteristic and an output power of about 70 mW is used as the synchronized oscillator. Results are presented in three dependencies: (1) the dependence of power produced by the synchronized oscillator on changes in synchronization power, (2) the dependence of signal power in the load on changes in synchronization power for two cases of load connection and two positions of circulator, and (3) the dependence of power, produced in the parallel-connected load, on the phase of the synchronizing signal arriving at the load at a constant synchronization power.
