A single-junction transistor sensor of temperature differences
Abstract
The paper studies a temperature-difference sensor whose temperature-dependent n-poles are constructed on the base of single-junction transistors. Measured temperature difference is linearly converted into an output of switch-on voltage for the transistor. Invariance to the absolute temperature of the ambient medium is ensured by single-junction transistor realization of two channels, one of which operates on the basis of the temperature dependence of interbase resistance, while the other on the basis of the temperature dependence of interbase resistance and of the emitter p-n junction. Theoretical and experimental results are presented for such parameters of the sensor as switch-on voltage, interbase resistance, and sensitivity.
