Structural redundancy as a means of improving the precision of absolute angular velocity measurement
Abstract
The possibility of improving the performance of a unit composed of gyroscopic two-degree-of-freedom angular velocity sensors by rational selection and orientation of the sensors and optimal processing of the output data is examined. A procedure for designing a unit composed of three two-degree-of-freedom angular-velocity sensors, which will measure two projections of the absolute angular velocity of a plant on its OXY axes is developed.
