Structural redundancy as a means of improving the precision of absolute angular velocity measurement
Abstract
The possibility of improving the performance of a unit composed of gyroscopic twodegreeoffreedom angular velocity sensors by rational selection and orientation of the sensors and optimal processing of the output data is examined. A procedure for designing a unit composed of three twodegreeoffreedom angularvelocity sensors, which will measure two projections of the absolute angular velocity of a plant on its OXY axes is developed.
