Magnetic structures of the spinels compounds MnCr 2- xV xS 4
Abstract
The compounds MnCr 2- xV xS 4 exist in the spinel phase up to x = 0.6. Vanadium substitutes Cr in B sites. V 3+ couples antiferromagnetically to Cn 3+. The transition temperature from the Yafet-Kittel to the Néel ferrimagnet decreases with x.
