The 37Cl(α,d)39Ar reaction has been studied at a bombarding energy of 27 MeV. Peaks corresponding to at least 25 states in 39Ar were identified. The strongest-fed states were those at 5.26 and 5.54 MeV, while the 3.38 MeV state was very weak. Angular distributions were measured for several of the stronger states and the data compared to distorted-wave Born approximation calculations.
