The Thermodynamic Properties of the FourPosition Model with LongRange Interactions.
Abstract
A four position model with a two component order parameter (n=2) and attractive 1/r(d=+sigma) (d=1) type transactions for linear chains of N spins is proposed. This model is studied analytically in the mean field limit (sigma yields (1)), and numerically for N less than or equal to 12 and 0.5 less than or equal to sigma is less than or equal to 1. The Pade approximant and ratio method are used on series extracted from the different Nsequences to estimate the thermodynamic properties of the system. The density of states, average energy, specific heat, long range correlation and the critical exponent gamma show definite dependence on the range sigma. From the extrapolated high temperature susceptibility, the critical exponent gamma is extracted. Possible explanation of the Isinglike behavior (n=1) is discussed along with possible extensions of the model which may be essential to observe the ndependence of gamma.
