The implications in satellite television for social and political change in the third world
Abstract
Implications in satellite television for social and political change in the Third World were investigated. Attenuation of this change by the nature of policy and policy making processes was also discussed. Conclusions showed that out of the consideration of possible outcomes, emerged a connection between the rate at which change is induced and the destructive consequences of the change. Out of a consideration of the probable development of the satellite technology emerged the likelihood that time will intervene to temper the outcome.
