Numerical holography and application to different treatments of images
Abstract
New methods of synthesizing holograms are presented, applied, and evaluated. Topics considered include a model of a monodimensional image signal, the relative importance of amplitude and phase data in the Fourier procedure, and the development of a unique optimized filter for transcoding. Other subjects include the restoration of a shifted image and the problems associated with sampling and quantification errors for grey-level holograms.
