A Practical Hadamard Spectrometer for Astronomical Application.
Abstract
A grating spectrometer with its entrance mask and exit mask using Hadamard matrices was developed for 10 microns infrared observations. The mathematical properties of the Hadamard matrix and its applicability to the optical spectrometer were explored. The instruments, including the Hadamard transform spectrometer, the helium cooled dewer, and the real time computer calculation, are described. The results of various performance tests and calibrations are presented.
