The experimental verification of a theory of the emission from Compton electron currents
Abstract
An analysis is made of the form of an electromagnetic signal emitted by streams of Compton electrons produced in the air near a gamma-ray source. The analysis yields a characteristic of the signal associated only with system geometry and not with the specific space-time structure of the beams. This general characteristic, observed for an experimentally recorded signal, leads to verification of the theory.
