The infrared linear polarization of the galactic center has been reexamined. The polarizations of 5.2 0.3% and 16.7 5.7% have been detected at the K- and H-band respectively, and the planes of the polarization are nearly parallel to the galactic plane. These polarizations are probably caused by the interstellar extinction in the inner region of the Galaxy. Key words: Infrared polarization; Interstellar extinction; Galactic center.
