Continuous tuning of 12 GHz in two bands of CO2 laser lines
Abstract
Extremely broadband tuning, up to 12 GHz, of CO2 laser radiation has been achieved by generating the upper and the lower optical sideband power at microwave frequencies in an integrated-optic traveling-wave infrared modulator. The measured frequency-response curve is relatively flat over a frequency range from + or - 10 to + or - 16 GHz.
