Passive pulse shaping using delayed superposition
Abstract
It is proposed to employ an extra-cavity passive method of superimposing a train of pulses for the generation of a single new pulse of higher energy density. A rotating mirror system is used to separate the pulses in the train. The pulses are subsequently focused with the aid of a concave blazed grating. The superimposition of the train of pulses involves the removal of the interpulse delay.
