Generation of short pulses for laser fusion in an actively mode-locked Nd:YAG laser
Abstract
Active mode-locking and Q-switching of the Nd:YAG laser has produced short, transform-limited pulses from 60 ps to 1 ns, with more than 0.4 mJ energy per short pulse over most of this range. Pulse-to-pulse stability is better than ±3%.
