Transversal filter using analog delay line with taps and hybrid weighting. II
Abstract
The design of a transversal filter of the FIR type is considered, taking into account also the technology-related limitations of a transversal filter which consists of charge-transfer device (CTD) components. A brief description is presented of the tapped analog delay (TAD) element used in the filter. The employment possibilities of the transversal filter are illustrated with the aid of two examples. Advantages of the CTD filter in comparison to conventional filters are partly related to the possibility of a free selection of the filter bandwidth.
