Internal problem for the end effect in a linear asynchronous MHDmachine operating at an arbitrary current load
Abstract
The internal endeffect problem under consideration is solved by the method of varying the constants for an arbitrary surface current load, including the case of discrete windings. For the latter case, mathematically correct formulas are derived for calculating the mechanical coil forces and useful power. Some means of endloss compensation are examined.
