Topology and implantation in monolithic integrated circuit design
Abstract
The principal steps in the computer-aided design of LSI circuits are outlined. Attention is given to logic simulation, and electronic simulation, of the circuit design, and manual implantation and the cellular approach. The general algorithm for seeking and correcting errors is described. The possibilities of modifying circuits with the aid of the P 880 computer and P 816 graphics display are mentioned. Mask fabrication is described, and the main features of the Boolean approach to circuit testing, based on results of the logic simulation, are examined.
