Detection of ionospheric irregularities by ground-based optical methods
Abstract
The paper examines an optical method by which it would be possible to determine the location and motion of ionospheric irregularities which are responsible for scintillations in amplitude, phase, and angle of incidence of satellite signals in the centimeter band. Airglow observations with special panoramic photometers are considered.
