Vibration-rotational super-high resolution spectrum of OsO4 and its theoretical interpretation
Abstract
A nonlinear 1W CO2 laser was used to measure the vibration-rotational spectrum of the OsO4 molecule. Measurements were performed via a super-high resolution technique within the Doppler-broadened P8 to P24 and R8 to R24 lines of the CO2 laser. Attention is given to isotopic shifts of vibrational frequencies, effects related to electronic motion, the dynamic Stark effect, and the vibration-rotational interaction.
