A method of obtaining continuously equivalent digital filters
Abstract
This paper presents a method of obtaining equivalent digital filters systematically by using a state equation. First the relation between a digital filter configuration and its state equation is made clear. Then a method for systematically determining the elements of the matrices employed in the state equations from the flow graphs for the digital filters is presented. By using these equations, a method of obtaining continuously equivalent digital filters is derived.
