Experimental studies of the large Debye length probe theory in a continuum plasma
Abstract
The Laplace limit probe theory for continuum plasmas, i.e., probe theory under the condition rp/λD→0, where rp is probe radius and λD is Debye length, has been experimentally studied. The results show that the application limit of this theory is rp/λD=0.44 for a spherical probe and rp/λD=0.23 for a cylindrical probe.
