A proposed 4-5 micron energy transfer laser
Abstract
Experimental evidence is presented which indicates vibrational energy transfer from deuterium (D2) to the C-H stretch vibrational mode of chloroform (CHCl3) in an e-beam sustained discharge. The application of this energy transfer technique to develop a new class of 4-5 micron lasers is discussed.
