An improved CO2 channel waveguide laser
Abstract
CO2 channel-waveguide lasers have been constructed using boron nitride. This hot-pressed smooth easily machinable ceramic has high thermal conductivity and extremely low thermal expansion. These properties make it highly suitable for constructing compact efficient amplitude-stable tunable low-power lasers.
