Optimal filtering for improving the signal-to-noise ratio in pulsed radar
Abstract
The method of comb filtering is described, by which the receiver band width is reduced as much as possible while allowing the integrated pulses to pass through. The detection mode is that of coherent detection, or predetection. The optimal filter design is based on an Fourier analysis of a finite train of pulses.
