The temperature distribution in the thermal boundary layer above surfaces with wavy roughness
Abstract
The experimental temperature distributions above a heated surface with wavy roughness are discussed. It is shown that the semi-logarithmic temperature profiles coordinates vary as a function of the friction Reynolds number and the related Richardson number. Formulas are given for the temperature distribution in the boundary layer that are applicable to both smooth and rough surfaces.
