A fast IR spectropyrometer for research on flames in condensed systems
Abstract
The paper describes an infrared spectral apparatus for investigating the combustion processes of condensed systems at pressures up to 60 kgf/sq cm. The pyrometer system allows simultaneous recording during combustion of samples of the variation over the flame height of both the absolute spectral brightness and transmittance of the flame with a time constant of 0.01 sec, and also the emission spectrum with a scanning frequency of 60-600 Hz. The working spectral range is 0.8-8 micron, spatial resolution is 0.2-1 mm, aperture is 0.02-0.1, and the range of measurable brightness temperatures is 600-3500 K.
