Penetration of a fan-shaped jet into a twisted entrainment flow
Abstract
The penetration of a curved twisted axisymmetric fan-shaped jet into an annular twisted entrainment flow is studied numerically, taking account of the effects of rarefaction occurring in the vortex region under the jet. Attention is also given to experimental data on the blowing of a radial fan-shaped jet into an annular twisted nozzle-flow. Calculated and experimental jet-trajectory values are compared.
