Stabilising circuit for a tuned-circuit magnetic levitator
Abstract
A circuit is described for achieving dynamic stability in a low-powered tuned-circuit magnetic levitator. A field-effect transistor is used as a controllable resistance to give velocity-feedback damping. The circuit uses standard components only, and the system is particularly suitable for vacuum applications.
