Effects of microstrip discontinuities on GaAs-M.E.S.F.E.T.-amplifier gain performance
Abstract
The effects of microstrip step- and crossover-discontinuity reactances on GaAs MESFET amplifier gain performance are assessed by using a computer simulation. The results clearly show that the effects of these discontinuities are significant and must therefore be allowed for if performance close to the predicted design is to be achieved.
