Second species solutions with an 0(μ^{ν}), 1/3<ν<1, nearmoon passage
Abstract
This paper uses Guillaume's extension of the BreakwellPerko matching theory for the restricted threebody problem with small mass ratio μ>0 to establish the existence and asymptotic approximation of oneparameter families of second species periodic solutions with one nearmoon passage of0(μ ^v ),tfrac{1}{3}< v< 1, during a halfperiod. The deflection angle at such a near moon passage, β0(μ^{1v}), approaches zero as the mass ratio μ approaches zero.
