A single frequency stabilized Nd:glass laser
Abstract
Analytic and experimental studies are made of the reflection characteristics of two resonant reflectors in the cavity of a single-frequency stabilized Nd:glass laser. Using a matrix theory and computer solutions, values are found for reflectivity versus wavelength, and the optimal frequency selection is determined. Based on the analytical results, a Q-switched Nd:glass laser with a spectrum linewidth less than 1.6 x 10 to the -3rd power A and a short-term stability greater than 0.01 A has been constructed.
