An Unusual Symbiotic Carbon Star
Abstract
A carbon star exhibiting an unusually high-excitation emission spectrum of H I, He I, and He II has been found on an objective prism plate taken with a 48-inch Schmidt telescope and studied with the Anglo-Australian telescope. It is interpreted as an addition to the very small population of symbiotic carbon stars.
