Experimental investigations of isolation characteristics of cork pads
Abstract
The vibration isolation characteristics of cork pads are studied experimentally. Cork pads of various hardnesses are tested under static and dynamic conditions. The natural frequencies of cork specimens are determined by both static and dynamic tests and compared with each other. From the dynamic tests the transmissibility characteristics at different frequencies and accelerations are obtained. From the value of maximum transmissibility the damping ratio is determined. Results obtained are presented graphically and discussed.
