Comparative performance of chemical lasers with axisymmetric and two-dimensional nozzles
Abstract
The use of asymmetric and two-dimensional nozzles in continuous diffusion type cold-reaction HF chemical layers is discussed. Saturated laser output is determined for both laminar mixing and turbulent mixing. The performance of HF chemical lasers with two-dimensional and axisymmetric nozzles is compared, while neglecting nozzle wall viscous effects.
