CdS sprayed thin films - Electrical and optical properties
Abstract
The investigation involved the deposition of thin films on small plates of Pyrex by means of a spraying procedure. The liquids used in the spraying procedure were obtained by mixing aqueous solutions of cadmium chloride and thiourea. The parameters studied were the ratio Cd(double plus)/S(--) in the spraying solution and the substrate temperature. The employed method led to reproducible results. The electrical and optical properties of the thin films obtained by spraying were found to be similar to those of films prepared by evaporation.
