A one-dimensional model and its application to the study of the diurnal cycle
Abstract
A one-dimensional atmospheric model is proposed, working solely in the vertical coordinate, that permits taking into account certain irreversible small-scale phenomena (radiation, water cycle, turbulence, nebulosity, etc.) and which can be later matched with large-scale, three dimensional dynamic models. Some preliminary results on a seven-week was studied in particular, are discussed. Different parameters and their combinations can be tested individually.
